Indeed, you will never know what you can and you cannot do unless you do it! Learn something new. Yes, it can be scaled down to what you can do but not at a sandbagging level where you can still look pretty after. Joining the Open was about the excitement of doing the same workout with your friends, hearing the shout of support from your Coach and box-mates, getting the needed push from your friends to do one more rep as the last few seconds comes nearer. The Open is an individual competition yet you work it out as a team.
Indeed, you can never do the workout on your own.
