There is a balloon there, hope i helped. Just run there using a Spirit Terrorbird if you want it to be a bit quicker , and it wont take as long or you could use a summoning familiar that will take some of your items so you can do more in one trip. I'd cut all the oaks you need, bank them at Castle Wars, and once you have all the oaks, then start going to the Sawmill. The next fastest way to get to the sawmill IME is to use a Digsite Pendant, which teleports you just north of the Digsite and therefore just south of the sawmill ; you could then either run back down or teleport into Varrock.
Third fastest would be to simply use a terrorbird and run up and down from the eastern bank in Varrock. Presumably because there's also a balloon at Castle Wars, which is where the OP is cutting logs. Ok after you have completed the quest Enlightened Journey you can use the ballon transport system, from castle wars take one willow log and go to varrock, make your planks and use a Ring of Dueling to telly back to castle wars.
